In the winter of 2016, goeasy heard about the local Jane and Finch BGC in Toronto which had been closed for almost two years when the club ran out of money for their renovations. When we learned about their situation, goeasy stepped up by donating over $25,000 and by providing the staff and construction support needed to help finish the job. This club is an integral part of the community, serving many children and families and will be reopened this June – check back for more pictures as we celebrate the grand opening!

The goeasy community project launched in June 2016 to support Canadians looking to create change in their communities by nominating local projects for the chance to win $50,000. After receiving numerous submissions from across Canada, the top three finalists were selected and the Canadian public voted for the project that they thought was most deserving. On August 3rd, The Humanity Project from Moncton New Brunswick was named the winner and awarded the $50,000 from goeasy to help them meet the growing demand for nutritious meals for the city's working poor and homeless. The funds will be used to purchase and install industrial cooking equipment and ingredients to continue feeding more than 4,500 Moncton-area residents every month. Click here to learn more.
