Are you an existing easyfinancial customer who has enrolled in a Loan Protection Plan?

If you chose to enroll under a Loan Protection Plan when you obtained your easyfinancial loan, filing an insurance claim is quick and easy. You may be eligible for benefits in the event of injury or sickness, involuntary unemployment, critical illness or unfortunate death.2

If you are unsure whether you are enrolled under a Loan Protection Plan, please call your local branch or our call center at 1-855-996-3279, and we would be happy to help you.

Steps To File

Follow these steps to file a claim:

  1. Select and download the appropriate claim form below

  2. Complete the form

  3. Return the completed and signed form and any additional required documents by email to LPP@goeasy.com or upload directly to the insurer at claims.assurant.com

Sickness or injury

Loan payment protection for up to 6 months in the event you’re unable to perform your regular activities for 10 consecutive days.2

Involuntary unemployment

Payment protection for up to 6 months in the event you have been employed for at least 90 consecutive working days, at least 60 consecutive days with current employer, or not eligible for EI benefits but at least 90 consecutive working days for same employer.2

What are the Loan Protection Plans and how can they help?

Our Loan Protection Plans are there to protect your loan balance and payments in case of job loss, injury, illness, and in the worst possible case if you pass away.

  1. If you suffer an involuntary job loss, your payments may be covered for up to 6 months

  2. If you are injured or ill, your payments may be covered for up to 6 months

  3. If you are critically ill, your remaining loan balance may be paid off

  4. If you pass away, your remaining loan balance may also be paid off.

How do I make a claim for the Loan Protection Plans?

Are the claim forms available in other languages?

The claim forms are available in English and French.

Why does the Loan Protection Plans provider, Assurant, require all this information?

All the information being requested is for the purpose of reviewing and adjudicating the claim.

Will the payments from Assurant be deposited directly into my bank account?

No, the payments are sent to easyfinancial and applied directly to your loan.
